Into the offseason: Brad Huse takes time to reflect
After losing five straight games to end the regular season and sneaking into the Big Sky tournament as the sixth and final seed, the Montana State men's basketball team made believers in Bozeman and beyond.
The Bobcats hung on to beat the Grizzlies in Missoula, dominated tournament host and regular season champion Weber State and found themselves a game away from the NCAA tournament. More of this story

Bobcats looking for strong regional finish
The Montana State men’s and women’s cross country teams will compete in the 2008 NCAA Mountain Region Championships, Saturday, Nov. 15 in Fort Collins, Colo. The women’s 6-kilometer race will begin at 11 a.m., followed by the men’s 10K event at 11:45. The races will be held at the Collindale Golf Course.
“This is going to be the first time a lot of our kids will run at these distances in a collegiate race,” said MSU head coach Dale Kennedy. “The key will be to stay patient and wait for our turn to make a move.” More of this story

Tyrrell earns NCAA bid
Montana State University sophomore javelin thrower Emily Tyrrell was chosen Tuesday for inclusion into the NCAA Division I Track and Field Championships. She joins teammate and Nick Lam as the only two Bobcats who will compete in Fayetteville, Ark., next week.
Tyrrell finished ninth at last week’s Midwest Regional. The top five in each region advance to the NCAA meet, but places six through 12 go into a pool and selections are made on season-best marks. Tyrrell’s best throw this season is 166 feet at the Mesa Track Classic. More of this story

Solid singles play lifts ’Cats over Griz
Despite losing the opening doubles point, the Montana State men’s tennis team rallied taking four of six singles matches to post a 4-3 victory over Montana, Sunday afternoon at the Bobcat-Anderson Tennis Center.
The victory locked-up the No. 3 seed for the Bobcats at next weekend’s Big Sky Conference championship tournament in Sacramento, Calif. More of this story
